and the update on the investigation there to the case. >> reporter: yeah. i checked in with the san jose police department spokesperson for the update on this case. they are still search for a second suspect or at least that's what was happening all this week as they released a sketch on that expect now hee mailed me back and said per the homicide unit we aren't confirming or denying any new information. that came after i asked them if an arrest had been made. >> the man was shot and killed last week. one of the suspects a 26-year- old was in court wednesday. police say he and another man robbed four businesses, murdered a 22-year-old in a carjacking and participated in a shoot out with two officers one of the officers was hit and taken to the hospital with minor injuries. willbanks was arrested the next morning. officers released a sketch of the second suspect, a 20,000- dollar reward is being offered for his arrest. the funeral for the victim is being held this morning at 11. we will continue to talk to police and ask them about updates on that second suspect and bring you new information on

, no you don't! take a step forward and chase what matters. san jose has ended in a shootout. police have established a comm >>> and we have breaking news. a police chase in san jose has ended in a shoot-out. police have established a command post on daytona drive. this all started when officers spotted a car wanted in several robberies. it turned into a chase that ended with the suspects firing at the officers in east san jose. one officer was slightly injured. he was hit by either gunfire or flying glass. the suspects are still on the loose and police are still looking for them. we'll keep you posted. >>> they're calling it the bust of a lifetime, but a bay area police officer had to ditch his wife at her own birthday dinner to make it. the oakland police officer, ernesto leyva, was off duty last night, having dinner with his wife at ruth's chris steak house in san francisco. and that's when he spotted one of oakland's most wanted, 20- year-old ronnie flenaugh, a notorious gangster wanted for murder, shootings, robberies, and all sorts of other things. >> what drew the attention to the

in san jose. jeanine della vega joins us live to let us know about the situation, good afternoon. >> reporter: police have this whole area roped off and this whole happened by this jewelry store and right now officers are talking to employees to try to piece together what happened. we know two armed men are on the run. let's go to some video we have from news chopper 2. this all started at about 10:10 this morning. police tell us two men entered this jewelry store and they did have a gun with them and the store clerk inside had a gun and fired back at the suspects and it is unknown if he hit one of them. those robbers ended up running out of the store and it's unclear whether there was a getaway car and they did not tell us whether they got away with any items inside the store and this is what they had to say. >> we have officers looking for witnesses and others are searching for video and this could possibly help in this investigation and we have officers canvassing the area looking for possible suspects. >>> now we are told by police that apparently the clerk said that the two
